Claire Patti-Chehade is an operatic, recital and oratorio soprano who performs in Australia and Europe. She made her opera debut as Belinda and the Second Woman in Dido and Aeneas in Wiesbaden, Germany and has since performed the roles of Saffi in The Gypsy Baron (Rockdale Opera Company), Sharon Graham in Master Class (D2 Productions Oz), Frasquita in Carmen (Penrith Symphony Orchestra) Diana in Orpheus in the Underworld (Rockdale Opera Company)andAdina in l’elisir d’amore (Western Sydney Opera) in Sydney, Australia. As a sponsored Young Artist with Pacific Opera, she performed scenes as Gilda in Rigoletto, Servilia in La Clemenza di Tito, Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos and covered Marzelline in Fidelio. Claire also appeared on the television series Married at First Sight, singing a duet with tenor Lorenzo Rositano. As an oratorio soloist, she has performed the soprano solos in G.F. Händel’s Messiah, J.S. Bach’s St John Passion, A. Vivaldi’s Gloria and J.S. Bach’s Cantata BWV 51 Jauchzet Gott in Allen Landen, performing with renowned musicians from Australia’s most prominent orchestras in Sydney and Tasmania. In 2020, Claire was due to perform with the Opera Australia Chorus in Opera Australia’s La Traviata on the Harbour, as Frasquita in Carmen at the Melbourne Recital Centre and Musetta in La Boheme with the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival in Sicily, which were unfortunately all cancelled due to Covid-19.
